Monk is simply too good to find himself consistently missing the award ceremonies. The Wings’ backcourt star had his scoring shoes on; averaging 25.3 points over four games, including a monstrous 39-point outburst in a win over All Ohio Red. Making matters more impressive, Monk only took 17 shots in that game. With sessions like this, it’s very clear that Monk will be in the MVP hunt by season’s end.

Maverick Rowan made a splash in his first EYBL session, putting up major numbers while turning E1T1 into one of the leading contenders. In four games, the 6-foot-6 combo guard averaged 20.8 points, turning in his best performance in a hard-fought loss against league-leader Houston Hoops. That addition of Rowan is gigantic for E1T1’s Peach Jam hopes, especially since they just lost Lamonte Turner to a reclassification. Rowan is a threat to go off in every ballgame, making him a contender to appear on this list for the rest of 2015.

Jarred Vanderbilt was sensational in Lexington. Coming off a strong opening session, the 6-foot-7 do-it-all forward turned it up another notch in session two, delivering four straight double-doubles. It’s rare to see an elite recruit show the hustle and grit that Vanderbilt does, and it’s helped him take his game to another level. He may be a sophomore, but he’s definitely in contention for the 2015 Most Valuable Player.

Two sessions, two first-team honors for Mr. Tatum. ESPN’s No. 1 recruit in 2016 had himself a weekend, averaging 19.8 points and 8 rebounds over four games. Just like in Hampton, Tatum stuck out amongst his peers, simply because he is capable of doing things that others cannot. At this point, anything short of first-team honors would be a shortcoming for Tatum.

All Ohio’s paint dweller landed on Hampton’s second team, an honor that he was clearly not satisfied with. In four games, Ward averaged 20.8 points and 12 rebounds, dominating the frontcourt on both ends of the floor. All Ohio would be lost without the massive production from their big man, and Ward is on his way to putting up some of the best numbers for a center in EYBL history. AOR is struggling in the standings, but continued efforts like this from Ward should turn around their fortunes.
